💸 2026 is the year of the price hike
If you have all 5 services below, you'll pay $13+ more per month — that's $152+ per year in increases alone.
It feels like every company decided to raise prices at the same time. Netflix, Spotify, Crunchyroll, Amazon — they're all hiking subscription costs in early 2026. We're tracking every increase so you can decide what's still worth paying for.
Spotify's third price increase in under three years. Individual plans go from $12 to $13/month. Duo rises to $18.99, and Family to $21.99. The increases take effect with your February billing cycle. Student plans also going up.
Paramount+ raised both tiers: Essential (with ads) from $7.99 to $8.99/month ($89.99/year), and Premium (with Showtime, no ads) from $12.99 to $13.99/month ($139.99/year). First increase since 2024.
Crunchyroll raised prices across all tiers shortly after removing its free tier. Fan went from $8 to $10, Mega from $12 to $14, and Ultimate from $16 to $18. Existing subscribers see the increase after March 4.
Amazon is raising the annual cost of its Music Family plan by $20, from $199 to $219 per year plus tax.
Rackspace is more than tripling its email hosting price from $2.99 to $10/month. Email Plus goes from $3.99 to $12. The largest percentage increase on this list.
The average American has 12 active subscriptions but only uses 6. With prices going up across the board, now is the perfect time to audit your recurring charges.
Upload your bank statement to JustCancel and we'll find every subscription in seconds — including ones you forgot about. One-time $5 fee, no subscription required (ironic, we know).
Subscription companies are caught in a growth trap. Wall Street demands revenue growth every quarter, and there are only two ways to get it: add new subscribers or charge existing ones more. Most major services are running out of new subscribers, so prices go up.
The math is brutal. If you had 10 subscriptions averaging $12/month in 2023, those same services now cost roughly $15/month on average — an extra $360/year for the same content you were already paying for.
We'll keep updating this page as more price increases are announced throughout 2026. Bookmark it or check back monthly.
