How to Cancel Zapier in 2026 — Export Your Zaps + Free Automation Alternatives

⚠️ Document your Zaps BEFORE downgrading. The free tier only allows 5 single-step Zaps with 100 tasks/month. Multi-step Zaps, filters, and paths are disabled. Your extra Zaps will be paused, not deleted.
Cancel / Downgrade
- Go to zapier.com/app/settings/billing
- Click Change plan
- Select Free at the bottom
- Confirm downgrade — takes effect at end of current billing period
There's no "cancel" button per se — Zapier downgrades you to Free. Your account stays active with limited functionality.
Before Downgrading: Save Your Automations
- Go to My Zaps and screenshot or document each Zap's trigger, actions, and filters
- Note which apps are connected and their authentication details
- Export Zap descriptions: there's no bulk export, so manually note each workflow
- Identify your top 5 most important Zaps (these stay active on Free)
