How to Delete Your Trivago Account in 2026
Updated February 2026 • Difficulty: Easy
✅ Important: Trivago is a free hotel price comparison site. There is no subscription or monthly fee. If you're seeing charges labeled "Trivago," they're likely from a hotel you booked through Trivago's partner sites (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.).
How to Delete Your Trivago Account
- Go to trivago.com and log in
- Click your Account icon
- Go to Account Settings
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
Seeing Charges From Trivago?
Trivago doesn't charge you directly — it's a metasearch engine that compares hotel prices. When you click "Book" on Trivago, you're redirected to a booking partner. The actual charge comes from:
- Booking.com — may appear as "BOOKING.COM" or "BOOKINGCOM"
- Expedia — may appear as "EXPEDIA" or "TRAVELSCAPE"
- Hotels.com — may appear as "HOTELS.COM"
- The hotel directly — may pre-authorize your card
If you see an unexpected charge, contact the booking partner directly — not Trivago. Check your email for booking confirmations.
How to Stop Trivago Emails
- Open any Trivago email
- Scroll to the bottom and click Unsubscribe
- Or log in and go to Account → Notification Preferences → turn off all emails
Better Alternatives for Hotel Search
- Google Hotels — built into Google Search, shows all major OTAs + direct booking prices
- Kayak — metasearch with price alerts and flexible date calendar
- Google Flights + Hotels — best for combined trip planning
- Book directly with the hotel — often same price or cheaper, plus loyalty points and better cancellation policies
