How to Cancel Tesla Premium Connectivity in 2026

Tesla Premium Connectivity costs $9.99/month or $99/year for satellite maps, music streaming, video streaming, and live traffic visualization. The free Standard Connectivity tier still includes navigation, Supercharger routing, and software updates over WiFi.

How to Cancel

1. Open the Tesla app on your phone
2. Go to Account → Manage → Subscriptions
3. Find Premium Connectivity
4. Tap Cancel
5. Alternatively: in your car, go to Controls → Software → Premium Connectivity → Cancel

Free vs Premium

• Keep (free): Navigation, Supercharger routing, software updates (via WiFi), basic maps
• Lose: Satellite/aerial map view, live traffic visualization, in-car Spotify/Tidal streaming, Netflix/YouTube, Caraoke, Sentry Mode live camera view

If you primarily use Tesla for navigation and driving, Standard Connectivity is sufficient. The streaming features are convenient but your phone can do all of it — Spotify, YouTube, etc. via Bluetooth or phone hotspot.

Workaround: Phone Hotspot

Connect your Tesla to your phone's WiFi hotspot while parked. This gives you satellite maps, streaming, and traffic data using your existing phone data plan instead of paying $9.99/month. Many Tesla owners report this works well for everything except Sentry Mode remote viewing.
