How to Delete Shutterfly Account in 2026
Shutterfly itself is free to use — the account costs nothing. But if you want to stop the relentless promotional emails, delete your stored photos, or just clean up old accounts, here's how.
Delete Your Shutterfly Account
- Go to shutterfly.com → sign in
- Go to Account Settings
- Scroll to the bottom → click Delete My Account
- Confirm — this permanently deletes all photos, projects, and order history
🚨 Download photos first: Account deletion removes ALL uploaded photos permanently. Download everything you want to keep before deleting.
Just Stop the Emails
If you just want the emails to stop without deleting your account:
- Scroll to bottom of any Shutterfly email → click Unsubscribe
- Or go to Account Settings → Communication Preferences → uncheck everything
- It can take up to 10 business days for emails to fully stop
Cancel Shutterfly Subscriptions
Shutterfly does have some paid services:
- Shutterfly+: Photo storage plan — cancel in Account Settings → Subscriptions
- Photo book/calendar auto-renewals: Cancel in Account Settings → Auto-Renewals
Alternatives for Photo Printing
- Google Photos: Easy ordering, good quality, competitive pricing
- Amazon Photos: Free unlimited storage for Prime members, print ordering
- Snapfish: Similar to Shutterfly with frequent deep discounts
- Walgreens/CVS: Same-day pickup, no subscription needed
- Costco Photo: Best value for large prints if you have a membership
💡 Pro tip: Before deleting, check for any unused Shutterfly credits or free print offers in your account — they send tons of "free prints" promotions that are actually usable.
🔍 Shutterfly may be free, but other subscriptions aren't. Upload your bank statement to JustCancel — we'll find every recurring charge on your account.
