How to Cancel Showtime in 2026 (Now Paramount+ with Showtime Bundle)
Updated 2026-03-03 · 5 min read
🔄 Showtime Merged Into Paramount+
The standalone Showtime app no longer exists. Showtime content is now part of Paramount+ with Showtime ($12.99/month). If you're still being charged for "Showtime," it's either through your cable provider, an old app store subscription, or as a Paramount+ add-on through a streaming device.
Figure Out Who's Billing You
The cancellation method depends entirely on how you subscribed:
"PARAMOUNT+" or "SHOWTIME" on credit card: Subscribed directly → cancel at paramountplus.com
"APPLE.COM/BILL" on credit card: Subscribed via App Store → cancel in iPhone/iPad Settings
"GOOGLE" on credit card: Subscribed via Google Play → cancel in Play Store
"ROKU" on credit card: Subscribed via Roku → cancel at my.roku.com
"AMAZON" on credit card: Subscribed as Prime Video Channel → cancel at amazon.com/channels
Cable/satellite bill: Subscribed through your TV provider → call your cable company

Paramount+ Plans (2026)
Paramount+ Essential (with ads): $7.99/month — no Showtime content
Paramount+ with Showtime: $12.99/month — full Showtime library, no ads on most content
Paramount+ with Showtime (annual): $119.99/year — saves ~$36 vs monthly
Cheaper Streaming Alternatives
Netflix Standard with Ads: $6.99/month — biggest library, original content
Hulu with Ads: $7.99/month — next-day TV episodes, good movie selection
Peacock Premium: $7.99/month — NBC/Universal content, live sports
Free options: Tubi, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Freevee — thousands of movies and shows, $0
Library streaming (Kanopy/Hoopla): Free with a library card — indie films, documentaries, classics
💰 Streaming Rotation Strategy
Instead of paying for 4-5 streaming services simultaneously ($50-$70/month), subscribe to one at a time. Binge Paramount+ for a month, cancel, switch to Netflix, cancel, switch to HBO. You'll watch everything you want for $8-$13/month instead of $50+.
Bottom line: The hardest part is figuring out who's billing you. Check your credit card statement for the merchant name — that tells you exactly where to cancel. If you see "SHOWTIME" on an old charge, it's likely been converted to Paramount+ with Showtime automatically.
