How to Cancel Runway ML Subscription (2026 Guide)

Heads up: Runway uses a credit system. Unused credits do NOT roll over month to month. If you have credits remaining, use them before your billing cycle ends — they vanish at cancellation.

Before You Cancel

⚠️ Download ALL your generated videos

Go to your Runway dashboard and download every video, image, and project you want to keep. After cancellation, your generated content may become inaccessible or be deleted after the retention period.

How to Cancel Runway ML

Go to app.runwayml.com
Click your profile icon (top right)
Go to Settings → Plan & Billing
Click Cancel Plan or Downgrade to Free
They'll show how many credits you have remaining — use them or lose them
Confirm cancellation
You keep access until the end of your billing period, then revert to the Free tier

Can You Get a Refund?

Runway's policy generally doesn't offer refunds for partial months. However:

If you were just charged and haven't used any credits this cycle, contact support@runwayml.com
If the service was down or buggy during your billing period, mention that
Annual plan refunds are harder — you may be locked in for the year
