How to Cancel Ro / Roman Subscription in 2026
Updated February 2026 • Difficulty: Easy • Varies by medication
Ro (formerly Roman for men, Rory for women) ships prescription medications on a recurring schedule. Cancelling is straightforward — but you should know your cheaper options first.
Cancel Online (Fastest)
- Go to my.ro.co and log in
- Navigate to Account → Subscription
- Click Cancel subscription
- They'll offer you a discount or pause — decline if you've decided
- Confirm cancellation
Medication shipments stop after your current order. You won't receive any more auto-refills. Any pending shipments that have already been processed will still arrive.
Cancel by Email
Email support@ro.co with your account email and a clear cancellation request. They typically respond within 24 hours.
Your Prescription Still Works
✅ Cancelling Ro does NOT cancel your prescription. Your Ro doctor wrote you a prescription that's valid for a set period. You can transfer it to any pharmacy — Costco, GoodRx, Amazon Pharmacy, or your local pharmacy.
Cheaper Alternatives for Common Medications
Ro charges a premium for convenience. Here's what the same medications cost elsewhere:
- Generic sildenafil (Viagra): Ro charges ~$2-6/pill. GoodRx price at Costco: ~$0.35-0.90/pill
- Generic finasteride (Propecia): Ro charges ~$15-20/month. GoodRx: ~$3-8/month
- Generic minoxidil: Ro charges ~$15/month. Kirkland (Costco) brand: ~$5/month
- Generic tretinoin: Ro charges ~$25+/month. With GoodRx coupon: ~$15-30/3 months
How to Transfer Your Prescription
- Find your Ro prescription details in your account (medication name, dosage, prescribing doctor)
- Call your preferred pharmacy (Costco, CVS, Walgreens, etc.)
- Give them the prescription info — they'll transfer it from Ro's pharmacy
- Use GoodRx or Cost Plus Drugs (Mark Cuban's pharmacy) for the best price
Telehealth Alternatives
If you still want the convenience of telehealth but cheaper:
- Cost Plus Drugs — transparent at-cost pricing + $5 pharmacy fee
- Amazon Pharmacy — free delivery for Prime members, competitive prices
- Hims — similar to Ro, sometimes cheaper, runs frequent promotions
- Your regular doctor + GoodRx — a normal doctor visit + generic fills is usually cheapest overall
💡 Savings example: Switching generic finasteride from Ro (~$20/month) to Costco with GoodRx (~$4/month) saves $192/year. Same exact medication, same manufacturer.
