LinkedIn Learning costs $29.99/month or $239.88/year — often bundled with LinkedIn Premium, which pushes the total to $59.99/month ($719.88/year). Here's the secret most people don't know: thousands of public libraries offer LinkedIn Learning completely free with a library card. You might be paying $360/year for something that costs $0.
Many public library systems (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, and hundreds more) provide free access to LinkedIn Learning with a library card. Same courses, same certificates, $0/year. Google "[your city] library LinkedIn Learning" to check.
LinkedIn Learning is often bundled with LinkedIn Premium Career or Business. Canceling Premium cancels Learning too. If you only want Learning, you can subscribe to it separately for $29.99/month instead of the $59.99/month Premium bundle — but again, check your library first.
The 50% off offer makes it ~$15/month — still more expensive than the library card option ($0).
LinkedIn Learning certificates look nice on your profile but carry zero weight in hiring decisions. No recruiter has ever preferred a candidate because of LinkedIn Learning certificates. If you want credentials that matter: Google Certificates ($49 each, employer-recognized), AWS/Azure certifications, or actual degree programs.
