How to Cancel Flywheel Hosting in 2026

Flywheel was acquired by WP Engine in 2019. If you're still on a Flywheel plan, you're now effectively a WP Engine customer. Plans start at $15/month — here's how to cancel and move your WordPress site somewhere cheaper.

How to Cancel

1. Log in at getflywheel.com or my.wpengine.com
2. Go to Account settings
3. Navigate to Billing
4. Click Cancel Plan or Close Account
5. If no cancel option exists online, contact support via chat or email

Migrate Your Site First

1. Install All-in-One WP Migration or UpdraftPlus plugin on your WordPress site
2. Create a full backup (files + database)
3. Download the backup file to your computer
4. Set up your new hosting account
5. Install WordPress on the new host
6. Import your backup using the same plugin
7. Update your domain's DNS to point to the new host
8. Wait 24-48 hours for DNS propagation
9. Verify everything works, then cancel Flywheel
