Cancel Eufy Security Cloud in 2026: Keep Local, Skip the Cloud

The Eufy Cloud Situation
Eufy (by Anker) built its brand on "no monthly fees" security cameras with local storage. But they've been gradually introducing cloud plans:
- Eufy Basic: Free — local HomeBase storage, 16GB built-in
- Eufy CloudPlay Basic: $3/month per camera — 30-day cloud history
- Eufy CloudPlay Plus: $10/month per camera — 180-day cloud history
The good news: local storage still works perfectly without any subscription. The cloud plan is an upsell, not a requirement.
How to Cancel Eufy Cloud
- Open the Eufy Security app
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Cancel the CloudPlay subscription
- If subscribed via App Store/Google Play: cancel through the platform
- Your cameras continue recording locally to HomeBase or microSD
What Still Works Without Cloud
- Local recording to HomeBase (16GB = ~60 days of clips) ✅
- Live view from anywhere ✅
