How to Cancel Etsy Plus / Close Your Etsy Shop in 2026

💡 Etsy's Base Shop Has No Monthly Fee
A basic Etsy shop costs $0/month. You only pay $0.20/listing + 6.5% transaction fee when something sells. Etsy Plus ($10/month) is an optional upgrade. If you're just trying to stop paying, cancel Etsy Plus — you don't need to close your shop.
Cancel Etsy Plus (Keep Your Shop)
- Go to etsy.com → Shop Manager
- Click Settings
- Click Etsy Plus
- Click Cancel
- Your shop continues working without Plus features
What you lose: custom shop banner options, restock alerts for buyers, discounts on custom domain and shipping labels, advertising credits.
Close Your Entire Shop
If you want to stop selling on Etsy completely:
- Complete all pending orders
- Resolve any open cases or disputes
- Pay your Etsy bill (outstanding listing/transaction fees)
- Go to Shop Manager → Settings → Options
- Scroll down to Close Shop
- Select a reason and confirm
Your listings are removed but your account stays. You can reopen your shop later if you change your mind.
Etsy Fees Breakdown
- Listing fee: $0.20 per item (auto-renews every 4 months)
- Transaction fee: 6.5% of sale price + shipping
- Payment processing: 3% + $0.25 per transaction
- Etsy Ads (optional): Minimum $1/day budget
