How to Cancel Discord Server Boost in 2026

Discord Server Boosts cost $4.99/month per boost. If you're boosting a server you no longer care about — or didn't realize you were paying for it — here's how to cancel.

How to Cancel Server Boosts (Desktop)

1. Open Discord
2. Click the gear icon (User Settings) at the bottom left
3. Go to Subscriptions
4. Find Server Boost in your active subscriptions
5. Click Cancel
6. Confirm — your boost stays active until the end of the billing period

Alternative: Cancel from the Server

1. Right-click the server you're boosting
2. Click Server Boost
3. Click Cancel Boost (or Manage Boosts)

Cancel on Mobile

1. Open Discord → tap your profile picture → Subscriptions
2. Find Server Boost → Cancel

If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, cancel through your device's subscription settings instead — Discord can't cancel app-store-billed boosts.

What the Server Loses When You Cancel

Each server needs a certain number of boosts to maintain perks:

• Level 1 (2 boosts): Custom emoji slots, better audio, animated server icon
• Level 2 (7 boosts): Custom stickers, more emoji slots, server banner
• Level 3 (14 boosts): Custom URL, animated banner, 100MB upload limit

If your removal drops the server below a tier threshold, the server loses those perks until someone else boosts. Don't feel guilty — that's the server owner's concern, not yours.

Transfer Your Boost Instead of Cancelling

If you still want to boost a server, just not the current one, you can transfer your boost to a different server. Go to the boost section in your subscriptions and reassign it. There's a 7-day cooldown between transfers.
