DashPass costs $9.99/month ($119.88/year) and promises free delivery + reduced service fees on orders over $12. Sounds great until you do the math: you need to order at least 3 times per month to break even on the subscription. Most DashPass subscribers order 1-2 times — and they're losing money.
DashPass saves ~$3-5 per order in delivery fees. At $9.99/month, you need 2-3 orders minimum to break even. But here's what they don't advertise: DashPass doesn't eliminate service fees, small order fees, or the 15-30% markup on menu prices vs. the restaurant. A $15 meal on DoorDash costs $22-28 delivered — DashPass or not.
DashPass may be bundled with your Chase Sapphire, Chase Freedom, or Capital One card. If you got DashPass "free" through your credit card, there's nothing to cancel — it's a card benefit. Check your DashPass page to see if it says "Provided by [card name]."

Cancel, order less frequently, and drive/walk to pick up food when you can — you'll save the $10/month subscription PLUS the 40-60% delivery markup.
