💡 Credit Karma Is 100% Free
There is no Credit Karma subscription. Credit scores, credit reports, credit monitoring, and tax filing are all free. If you're seeing charges on your bank statement, they're from products you applied for through Credit Karma (credit cards, loans, insurance) — not from Credit Karma itself.
What Credit Karma Offers (All Free)
- ✅ TransUnion and Equifax credit scores
- ✅ Credit report monitoring and alerts
- ✅ Credit score simulator
- ✅ Tax filing (Credit Karma Tax, now Intuit)
- ✅ Product recommendations (how they make money — via referral fees)
Close Your Credit Karma Account
If you want to delete your Credit Karma account entirely:
- Go to creditkarma.com → My Account
- Scroll to the bottom
- Click Close My Account
- Confirm deletion
This deletes your account data. It does not affect your actual credit score or reports.
Close Credit Karma Money (Banking)
Credit Karma Money is a separate checking/savings account. To close it:
- Transfer your balance to another bank
- Go to creditkarma.com → My Account → Credit Karma Money
- Click Close Account
Or email memberservices@creditkarma.com.
Seeing Mystery Charges?
If you're seeing charges and think they're from Credit Karma, they're likely from:
- A credit card you applied for through Credit Karma (annual fees)
- Insurance quotes that became active policies
- A loan you took out via a Credit Karma recommendation
- Experian or TransUnion paid monitoring you signed up for separately
