How to Download Your Backups

- Verify the downloaded files are intact before canceling
Cheaper Alternatives
- Backblaze: $9/month — unlimited backup, similar to CrashPlan but with faster restores
- iDrive: $4/month (5TB) — backs up multiple computers and phones
- Google Drive: $3/month (200GB) or $10/month (2TB) — syncing, not full backup
- External hard drive: $60-100 one-time for 2-4TB — no ongoing cost, but no off-site protection
- Local NAS + cloud: Synology NAS with C2 backup — one-time hardware cost + cheap cloud
💡 3-2-1 Backup Rule
Whatever you switch to, follow the 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media, with 1 off-site. Example: original files + external hard drive + Backblaze cloud backup.
