Downgrade vs. Delete: Choose Wisely

Downgrade to Free: Stops billing but keeps your account, contacts, email templates, and automation workflows. You can send up to 300 emails per day on the free plan. This is reversible — you can upgrade again anytime.

Delete account: Permanently removes everything — contacts, templates, sending history, domain verifications. This is irreversible and takes effect immediately.

Most people should downgrade rather than delete. The free plan costs nothing and preserves your data in case you need it later.

Step 1: Export Your Contacts

1. Go to Contacts in the Brevo dashboard
2. Click Export contacts (top right)
3. Choose CSV format
4. Select all attributes you want to keep
5. Download the file

Also export your email templates: go to Campaigns → Templates, open each template, and save the HTML. There's no bulk template export feature.

Step 2: Downgrade to Free

1. Go to app.brevo.com/billing
2. Click Change plan or Manage plan
3. Select the Free plan
4. Brevo will show what features you lose — review and confirm
5. You may be offered a discount to stay — decline if you want to cancel
6. Confirm the downgrade
