How to Cancel (Personal)
- Go to app.box.com
- Click your profile icon → Account Settings
- Scroll to Account section
- Click Cancel
- Confirm and your account downgrades to Free (10GB)
How to Cancel (Business)
- Only account admins can cancel business plans
- Go to Admin Console → Account Settings → Billing
- Click Cancel Plan

If your company manages Box, contact your IT department — individual employees can't cancel a business account.
⚠️ Download Your Files
Box data is deleted after a grace period when you cancel. Download everything: select folders → Download as Zip. For large accounts, use Box Drive (desktop sync) to download everything locally before canceling.
