How to Cancel AWeber in 2026

AWeber was one of the first email marketing platforms (founded 1998). Many longtime users are paying more than they need to — newer platforms offer more features at lower prices.

Step 1: Export Your Email List

Your email list is your most valuable marketing asset. Export it before making any changes:

1. Log in to AWeber
2. Go to Subscribers → Manage Subscribers
3. Click Export
4. Select all fields (email, name, tags, custom fields)
5. Download the CSV file
6. Also export any email templates you want to keep

Step 2: Cancel or Downgrade

Option A: Downgrade to Free

If you have 500 or fewer subscribers:

1. Go to Account → Billing
2. Select Downgrade to Lite (free tier)
3. You keep your subscribers, templates, and basic sending capabilities

Option B: Cancel Account

1. Go to Account → Billing
2. Click Cancel Account
3. AWeber will show retention offers — decline if you're sure
4. Confirm cancellation
5. You can also call 1-877-293-2371 to cancel by phone
