⏰ Timing Matters
Cancel before the 1st of the month. Allure charges around the 1st, and once charged, you can't get a refund for that month's box. If it's already the 2nd or later, you'll get one more box.
Annual Plan Subscribers
If you're on the annual plan ($240/year):
- Annual plans are typically non-refundable for remaining months
- You'll continue receiving boxes through the end of your annual term
- Contact customer support to ask about exceptions — some reps will prorate
- Turn off auto-renewal to prevent re-charging next year
Alternative Beauty Boxes
If you liked the concept but want to try something different:
- Ipsy Glam Bag: $14/month (5 products) — more personalized to your beauty profile
- BoxyCharm: $30/month (5 full-size products) — merged with Ipsy
- Birchbox: $15/month (5 samples) — focused on discovery
- FabFitFun: $60/quarter (seasonal box) — lifestyle + beauty mix
Is the Allure Beauty Box Worth It?
The math: $25/month for $100+ of beauty products sounds great. But ask yourself:
- Are you actually using all 6 products each month?
- How many unopened samples are sitting in your bathroom?
- Would you have bought any of these products individually?
- That's $300/year on products you didn't specifically choose
If 50% of each box goes unused, you're effectively paying $50/month for the products you actually use.
